The SAWA is pleased to be able to host its 2nd annual South African Women’s Day Event on August, 8th. This event is a celebration of the solidarity, strength and courage shown by women across the globe who have paved the way for a better future for all.

 

This year’s 'Legendary African Women's Award' Recepient is South Africa’s most influential daughters; talk show host, entrepreneur and motivational speaker, Dr. Felicia Mabuza-Suttle. In addition, guest speakers will include Thandi Tutu- Gxashe (CEO of Tutudesk), and Elaine Sterling  (CEO of Elaine Sterling Institute).  Entertainment will be provided by Soweto Street Beat’s traditional Zulu dancers and the SAWA singers. GGC students will give a poetry reading and GGC’s African Voice will present a brief fashion show. The event will be compered by South-African TV personality, Fenley Foxen.

 

The entire event will be broadcast by SABC and the Africa Channel.
